A great way to meet other families and support your child’s development through play.
Purpose of Stay and Play Sessions:
- Transition into childcare or school by helping children feel comfortable in a new environment with a familiar adult present.
- Encourage parent-child bonding through shared play.
- Introduce routines and social interactions typical in early years set up.
- Give parents insights into how their child plays, learns, and interacts with others.
- Support parents by offering ideas for play and learning at home.
What Happens During a Stay and Play Session:
- Children can explore toys, books, puzzles, role-play, crafts and many more.
- The session is finalised with singing, circle time, or storytelling.
- Opportunities for social interaction with other children and parents.
- Time for parents to observe or join in with how practitioners support learning through play.
