Governors meet regularly to discuss and share new ideas and are committed to moving the school forward to meet the challenges of the 21 st century. Governors regularly attend training sessions to develop their understanding of school issues.
At our termly meetings during the school year governors have carried out our statutory requirements and considered, supported and monitored the work of particular aspects of school life. These have included:
- Staff appointments
- Continuing strategies to raise achievement
- Further developments within Literacy and Numeracy
- Target setting in Literacy and Numeracy
- Health and Safety inspections
- Breakfast Club
- Gold award under the Coventry National Healthy Schools Scheme
- Approving the school budget
- School Development Plan
- School Prospectus
- Implementing and ensuring the restructuring of Year 3,2 and 1
- Further development in providing a broad base curriculum
All governors are happy to be approached in person to discuss any matter related to school and are open to new ideas from parents.
